Jumping from punk rock and landing somewhere between The Neighbourhood’s understated indie pop and Phantograms electro-hooks; Feinter takes electronic textures, fragments of gloss & gloom, then weaves them overtop of an alt-rock backbone.

Based out of Toronto by way of Calgary, the new endeavour from Ryan Riot (Current Belvedere, ex In Codes/The Martyr Index) started out exploring creativity on a more personal level away from the collective nature of a band.

Aches, the second of two singles produced with the sharp ear of Ryan Worsley (Dear Rouge, Said the Whale) and accompanying video will be out soon.

The first effort as a solo performer has had Ryan re-evaluate his approach to songwriting.

Stripping songs back to their simplest arrangements and workshopping them in local open mic nights has been a humbling experience for someone used to the safety net of comrades on stage. He thinks of it as “a form of therapy between song and artist - except your broadcasting those moments of insecurity to a crowd”. Although he considers it a crucial step before building them back up into the soundscapes of this new direction.

Touring internationally and putting out several EPs & Albums with other acts, Ryan is no stranger to the stage and after a long incubation period the hunger to connect with fans of live music has reached a fever-pitch.

Aches, the second of two singles produced with the sharp ear of Ryan Worsley (Dear Rouge, Said the Whale) and accompanying video will be out soon.
